Imagine A Religion...

We get mailers periodically from local churches trying to get us to give them a try, and when Mrs. HolyCoast brought me this one from today's mail, I had to scan it for the blog. Let's see if this postcard will persuade us to switch churches:

I know it's difficult to read the writing under the photos, so let me help. Under the photo of the couple with small child it says:

"where people with different beliefs worship as one faith"

That's certainly convenient. No sense being bogged down by specific religious requirements.

Under the potted plant (which may well be one of their teachers) it says:

"of deeds and not creeds"

Who can argue with that? Do lots of good deeds and you'll earn your afterlife reward.

And under the photos of the two friendly gentlemen on the right it says:

"that stands on the side of love"

How lovely. All they're missing is some guy with his sheep.

Imagine a religion....that doesn't really believe in anything.
