I didn't get a chance to see the Arnold/Angelides gubernatorial debate, but caught some clips on the news last night. Based on this LA Times story, the Dems might as well save their money and quit trying to prop up a loser like Angelides.
The commentator who described the debate on TV showed why Angelides is out of his league. While Arnold remembered that this was a televised debate and gave his answers while looking into the camera, Angelides spent his time talking to the studio audience, which meant he was looking away from his camera. A real rookie mistake.
The TV report also showed a clip where Arnold says to Angelides how talking to him "is just like talking to Uncle Teddy (Kennedy) at Thanksgiving". Instead of laughing along, Angelides shouts "he's a great man!". What a maroon.
It's over. At this point they could come out with Arnold sending sexy Instant Messages to 12 year old boys and he'd still win by 15 points.
