U.S. ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton — who has never been confirmed by the Senate — may be another victim of the midterm elections.Thankfully Chafee is gone, but unfortunately, so is Bolton.
Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid — says Democrats will not allow the Bolton nomination to get a vote in the coming lame duck session and it may never get a vote. A top GOP Senate aide on foreign relations says the Bolton nomination would have to be resubmitted by the White House.
Another senior Republican leadership aide says the president could give Bolton a second recess nomination — but Bolton cannot be paid until confirmed.

Thank You "Weak Link" Chafee
Thanks to obstruction from soon-to-be former RINO Senator Lincoln Chafee, the nomination of John Bolton as UN Ambassador was stalled in the Senate. For reasons known only to him, Chafee wouldn't allow Bolton to be voted out of committee. Now, despite the good work he has done, his nomination is effectively dead (from Special Report):
