A presidential candidate gave an important speech the other day and offered these ideas:
- Offered no less than 100 proposals
- Pledged to raise pensions
- Pledged to increase the minimum wage
- Guaranteed a job or further training to everyone who graduated from college
- "I want for the children in these suburbs what I want for my own children"
You're probably figuring I'm describing one of the
Village People (the Dem '08 candidates) given this sounds just like the platform they've been promoting. In fact, the presidential candidate who offered these proposals is the Socialist candidate for president of France,
Ségolène Royal.
The Village People may call themselves Democratic, but at their heart, they're really Socialists.
