My 23 year old niece, Julie Austin, finished the Boston Marathon today (in terrible weather) in 3:42:46, finishing 8,651 out of the total runners, 2,001 among the women, and 1,562 among those in her division. Not bad for a first effort, and given the abysmal weather conditions, just finishing is something to be proud of.
She recently was admitted to the University of Michigan Veterinary School, so starting this Fall, she'll start her career fixing critters.
