In the Republican field, 29 percent of voters prefer Giuliani while McCain, an Arizona senator who once led the pack, slips to 12 percent, behind Thompson, who is preferred by 15 percent and said last month that he is considering a run for the presidency.McCain gave a good speech on Iraq, and his decision to hang tough with President Bush is commendable, but it will probably further doom his hopes of becoming president. Unfortunately for him, he's selling what nobody wants to buy.

McCain Now Trailing Non-Candidate in National Poll
The latest Bloomberg/LA Times poll does not bode well for John McCain's struggling presidential campaign:
