Somebody Get These Guys a Newspaper

Just to show you how on top of things the Federal government is, one agency this week requested a meeting with a dead guy:

The office of Health and Human Services Secretary Mike Leavitt called Sen. Craig Thomas's (R-WY) office Thursday afternoon to request a meeting with the late senator, the Washington Post reports.

Thomas passed away on Monday after a seven month battle with leukemia.

"Needless to say, grief-stricken Thomas staffers were stunned."

You'd think that of all the federal agencies, Health and Human Services would have heard about the Senator passing away. It was in all the papers.

These guys need to get out more.
