LAS VEGAS -- A gunman opened fire on people in the New York-New York casino in Las Vegas early Friday morning -- wounding four people before he was tackled by officers and patrons and arrested.I took this shot of New York, New York five years ago from the same walkway that crosses over Las Vegas Blvd. from the MGM Grand.
Police said the man is believed to be in his early 50s and a Las Vegas resident.
Two women and two men were taken to a local hospital with what is being described as non-life threatening injuries.
Police said the gunman entered the casino from the walkway to the MGM Grand a little before 1 a.m. and randomly shot at people on the casino floor below.
One thing about Vegas, at 1am the casino is sure to have lots of people in it. I'm glad nobody was seriously hurt.
