Sprinting to Get Rid of Customers

Sprint, the 3rd largest cellphone company in the U.S., is sprinting to get rid of customers that they consider to be problems:
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Hundreds of cell phone customers are being given the boot, accused of being too high maintenance.

Sprint-Nextel is disconnecting more than 1,000 subscribers on grounds the clients call customer service too often and make "unreasonable requests."

The 1,200 people getting dropped will have to find a new carrier by the end of the month.

That's not all. Michelle Malkin has information on servicemen who were threatened with cancellation because of "excessive roaming". Somebody at Sprint acted quickly, and although a number of active duty servicemen were notified that their service would be discontinued, the company is going to rescind those cancellations.

Sounds like growing pains to me. With their purchase of Nextel, Sprint will take over the main sponsorship of the NASCAR Cup Division which will now be known as the Sprint Cup (sorry, I still like the name Winston Cup best).
