13 1/2 Hours

After 13 1/2 hours in the recording studio and a concert over the last two days, I'm back at it - a little hoarse but none the worse for the wear. Now all I have to do is catch up on everything that happened since Friday morning.

The recording went well - we're going to be pretty happy with the final product though there's still lots of work to do before it will be ready. Getting the songs on tape (or on computer as it is these day) is only the first step. There are still many hours of fixing and mixing left to do before we get the finished recording. Fortunately, I work with some good guys and we enjoy our time in the studio. And a good thing too because when you hear your voice soloed in the mix, if you can't take the abuse from your friends a studio can be an ugly place. We can all dish it out and take it with equal ease.

I'll let you know more about the project as it gets closer to completion for those that might like a little dose of Southern Gospel music.

UPDATE: Photos from the session can be seen here.
