President Bush and the United States Congress marked record-low approval ratings in the latest Reuters/Zogby poll.
Just 29% of Americans gave Bush a positive grade for his job performance, below his worst Zogby poll mark of 30% in March. A paltry 11% rated Congress positively, beating the previous low of 14% in July.
Meanwhile, a new Pew Research poll gives Bush a 31% approval rating.
If the Senate decided to create a battle over the Attorney General nominee, or tries another Iraq war surrender gambit, they might end up in single digits. As it is now, they're pretty much down to their friends and relatives.
