Woodland dentist Mark Anderson, accused of sexually touching more than 20 female patients, pleaded to have his license reinstated before an administrative law judge Thursday, arguing the chest massages that are the center of the allegations against him were legitimate dental treatment methods. ...
During the hearing, Robert Zaro, Anderson's lawyer, argued that Anderson's alleged inappropriate contact of touching his patients' breast was an industry-sanctioned method to treat temporal mandibular joint disorder, a degenerative affliction of the jaw joints that can cause pain in the patient's jaw, neck and head.
Zaro said the chest muscles can be related to the disorder and that in some cases massaging them can bring relief.
If this excuse is accepted by the court, I'm expecting the number of applications to dental schools to soar.
