CNN Takes a Planted Question from A Gay Military Man

It looks like CNN is back at it with the planted questions. During the YouTube debate a 40 year military veteran who is also gay asked the requisite "gays in the military question". It turns out this guy has an easily identified political background with both the Hillary Clinton and John Kerry campaigns (h/t The Corner and adamyoshida.com):
So, the fellow who just asked the Republican candidates about Don't Ask, Don't Tell, retired Brigader General Keith Kerr, is a member of Hillary Clinton's campaign for the Presidency.

And, from the Politico:
Oh, my tireless colleague Avi Zenilman back at Politico World HQ does an insta-search on Kerr and discovers he was on the Steering Committee of "Veterans for Kerry."
Doesn't anybody at CNN know how to use Google?

UPDATE - a CNN mea culpa:
In the final seconds of the post-debate coverage, Anderson Cooper acknowledges that CNN messed this up and states that CNN did not know that Kerr has a position within the Clinton campaign and that had they known, they would have disclosed the association.

Just to show you how much of a set-up this guy was, not only did he get to ask a YouTube question, but he mysteriously showed up in the audience as was given a chance to rebut the answers from the candidates. He claimed they didn't answer his questions, but in fact he just got answers he didn't like.
