WASHINGTON - It's almost as if people can barely stand the thought of President Bush and Congress anymore. Bush reached his lowest approval rating in The Associated Press-Ipsos poll on Friday as only 30 percent said they like the job he is doing, including an all-time low in his support by Republicans. Congress' approval fell to just 22 percent, equaling its poorest grade in the survey. Both marks dropped by 4 percentage points since early January. Here's something else to make you hate politicians. Congress has sent a bill to President Bush to make the national Do Not Call list permanent. That's a good thing since it has greatly reduced telemarketing calls at my house. However, one GOP member tried to add an amendment to the bill to include robocalls from politicians. Of course, Congress didn't go for it. They'll keep you from having to listen to sales pitches all day, but want to have the opportunity to bombard you with pretaped robocalls begging for your vote. Once again Congress chooses to live by different rules than the rest of us.

Bush 30%, Congress 22%
Do you think the voters are pretty much sick of politicians?
