Congress is wasting its day today pestering professional baseball players about their particular fitness regimes. Say what you want about steroids and other drug issues, but doesn't Congress have anything better to do?
Even one of the NASCAR drivers getting ready for the Daytona 500 was clearly disgusted with what he was seeing on CNN. At the end of an interview on SPEEDTV Brian Vickers, one of the Red Bull drivers, asked for a moment to make a comment and said that he would be embarrassed to be a member of Congress today. With a struggling economy, an ongoing war, and an "out of control budget", Congress is spending their day grilling a baseball player.
The crowd at the SPEED stage cheered. That should be a warning to Congress.
