apparently wasn't close. Virginia was the only one of the three contests today that Hillary had a chance to win. Exits indicate that Obama got 90% of the black vote and 48% of the white vote and 58% of the women.On the GOP side, Virginia is too close to call between McCain and Huckabee. There is a strong conservative turnout and their not voting for McCain.
UPDATE: Virginia goes to McCain, but he certainly didn't get a mandate. The win will be by a few percentage points, however it's a winner-take-all state so McCain gets all 60 delegates.
UPDATE 2: Obama wins Washington D.C. Maryland results delayed by court order extending the voting for 90 minutes due to demand and bad weather.
UPDATE 3: Obama and McCain win Maryland by big margins. Break out the Kleenex for Hillary.
