Barack Obama supporter Tom Hanks was in Washington D.C. yesterday promoting a new miniseries on President John Adams, and in the process of talking with the press,
confirmed a point I made a couple of days ago:
And of course, no trip to Washington is complete without some political chatter. Hanks, an Obama supporter, said, “I wish the election was being held tomorrow. I’m bored!”
A few days ago I wrote that
Barack Obama's biggest enemy is time, because movements based on emotion have a relatively short shelf life. The emotion wears off the boredom takes over. The enthusiasm will wear off as the campaign wears on.
