Dems Scrap North Carolina Debate for "Party Unity"

Poor Katie Couric, she won't get to play big time newslady after all:
We regret to inform you that the proposed Democratic Presidential Debate scheduled for April 27 has been cancelled due to time constraints and logistical issues associated with such a large, national event.

You have shown tremendous passion and interest in being a part of history as Democrats are poised this year to elect the first female or African-American President. However, there were also growing concerns about what another debate would do to party unity.
Party unity? They certainly haven't got that now, so what makes them think the debate would further polarize the Dems?

I think the real reason for the cancellation is that the Dems are realizing this self-destruction derby they're running is doing little more than giving John McCain fodder for his campaign commercials. After 23 debates you'd think they'd know all they'd need to know about their own candidates, but after that last donnybrook, maybe not.
