Today I got the following very creative and timely phishing spam:
Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
United States Department of the Treasury
Dear Taxpayer,
After the last annual calculations of your fiscal
activity we have determined that you are eligible
to receive a tax refund of $184.80.
Please submit the tax refund request and allow us
6-9 days in order to process it.
A refund can be delayed for a variety of reasons.
For example submitting invalid records or applying
after the deadline.
To access the form for your tax refund, use the following personalized link:

I don't think I'll respond to that one.
UPDATE: We get results -
Hi! Rick,If we save only one....
This is stgcsky resident of Singapore, I write this email personally to say 'THANK-YOU' to you. 1) If you have not post today's fun Spam email, I am sure I did be con. I received the same email I do pay tax and as I received the email I was caught off guard, I did not suspect any thing wrong, don't know how I click to gmail search help center following the link and click holycoast.com and browse and your post caught my eye. Many Thanks to you! as I must say I am not greedy the amount is too small I thought maybe the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) really wanted to refund the extra back to me, as my country use to do so by returning to our bank account or by cheque, as the email looks so convincing, anyway I really must say thank you to you once more. I hope some thing can be done to save more people.
Regards,
stgcsky
