Obama "Disappointed" by Self-Loathing Middle-Aged White Priest

Obama's latest pastor disaster has once again brought to light the nutty teachings of Trinity United Church of Christ, Obama's church for the past 20 years. Obama is "disappointed" by this latest outburst:

Mr. Obama, through a statement released to reporters, said he was “deeply disappointed.”

“As I have traveled this country, I’ve been impressed by not what divides us, but by all that that unites us,” Mr. Obama said. “That is why I am deeply disappointed in Father Pfleger’s divisive, backward-looking rhetoric, which doesn’t reflect the country I see or the desire of people across America to come together in common cause.”

Mr. Pfleger, who is the pastor of Saint Sabina Catholic Church in Chicago, a largely black congregation, said he regretted the words he preached last Sunday.
“These words are inconsistent with Senator Obama’s life and message, and I am deeply sorry if they offended Senator Clinton or anyone else who saw them,” he said in a statement released to reporters by his church.

I'm calling bovine excrement on this one. Pfleger knew exactly what he was doing, and that the world was likely to see it. He even comments on the YouTube recording that he knew there was a streaming internet feed going out to the world as he acted the fool.

The bottom line: Pfleger is a self-loathing middle-aged white guy with his collar on backwards who is trying to do a poor imitation of Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Bad imitaton. Bad theology.

And what the heck's wrong with that church? The people stand and cheer this idiot, along with all the other stuff that comes from the pulpit there, none of which appears to have an Biblical value whatsoever. The fact that the audience wasn't shocked by Pfleger's statements and in fact cheered them tells you that they hear this stuff all the time, which means Obama heard it all the time but wasn't "disappointed" enough to leave and find another church.

Trinity is a problem for Obama that won't be going away.
