A Close Call

With all the news about terrible auto accidents in the last few days I was a little shocked to hear that my niece Julie in Michigan had her own adventure. That red pile of junk next to her is what's left of her car after a tire blew and the car rolled twice on a remote Michigan road: She and her cat crawled out the rear window of the car. The cat was fine and she had a minor cut on her head. Pretty lucky. She's a student in vet school and was on her way home for her father's retirement party. I'm glad she's okay, and I'm sure she wouldn't turn down a new car.

I wrote about her once previously when she completed the Boston Marathon. She's had a few adventures.
