Virginia, who The Economist recently described as looking like "an angry potato", is not interested in running for Vice President:“Last week I communicated to Senator Obama and his presidential campaign my firm intention to remain in the United States Senate…Under no circumstances will I be a candidate for Vice President.”
Webb probably could have put Virginia in the Dem column, and they may get it anyway, but it's not bad news for the GOP that he's taken himself out of the running.
