How Could a Christian Vote for a Pro-Choice Candidate?

Archbishop Charles Chaput of Denver (where lots of pro-choice Democrats will gather next week) was asked in an interview last year if Catholics could in good conscience vote for a pro-choice candidate. I think his advice could apply to any Christian, Catholic or otherwise (h/t The Corner):
I think there are legitimate reasons you could vote in favor of someone who wouldn’t be where the church is on abortion, but it would have to be a reason that you could confidently explain to Jesus and the victims of abortion when you meet them at the Judgment. That’s the only criterion.

Works for me.
