The Battle of Florida

The battle of Florida was fought this weekend and Don Surber has some thoughts:
Republican Sarah Palin draws 60,000.
Democrat Barack Obama draws 13,000.

This weekend, the two teams played the Florida Bowl.

No contest.

Palin kicked Obama’s rear end.

He was the caribou.

She was the Palin.

The Fort Meyers News Press put her crowd at 60,000. And those are old people. Voters.

Obama draws the young and hip.

Palin draws the hip surgery patients.

Name the last person to draw 60,000 people in Florida on an NFL Sunday whose name wasn’t Miami Dolphins or Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Surber makes a good point about the age of the voters. Historically those old hip surgery patients show up on election day while the young, hip crowd doesn't. Wouldn't it be great if we could actually find out what percentage of each crowd made it to the polls on Nov. 4? I'll be the old folks kick those young whippersnapper's butts.
