Today's Moment of Irony

Is it not more than a little bit ironic that in Washington today we have liberal Democrats trying to give billions of taxpayer dollars to rich bankers and Wall Street moguls while conservative Republicans try to stop them?

UPDATE - a second moment of irony:

Just after listening to Rep. Maxine Waters in 2004 praise Fannie Mae chairman Franklin Raines and excoriate a regulator who was trying to bring attention to the pending problems over there, the news break came on with Waters excoriating Wall Street and claiming she won't vote for the bailout because she "supports Main Street". Maybe if she had supported Main Street a little more in 2004 we wouldn't be where we are now.
