Tampa Bay finally finishes off the Red Sox to win the American League title. That means the World Series will be Florida vs. Pennsylvania, the battle of battleground states.
I previously wrote about the dangers involved in Barack Obama's decision to buy 30 minutes of TV time and delay the start of the one of the games. With both teams from the East Coast and games starting so late, there will be lots of bleary eyes in FL and PA in the next 10 days or so.
Although I've always been an American League guy, this time I have to pull for the Phillies. The last time the Phillies won the GOP scored a big comeback win. 1980 - Reagan over Carter.
Let's hope the luck of the Phillies continues in 2008.
