It's day old news, but the big win by Saxby Chambliss in Georgia should be of significant concern to Democrats as they plan for 2010. Based on the Georgia results, the 2008 wins for the Democrats was not due to a Dem surge, but an Obama surge. Take Obama off the ballot and the Dem got killed - he didn't even come close to the percentage of the vote he got in November.
The Dems also have to be concerned about Sarah Palin's influence. Chambliss gives her a lot of credit for whipping up the base. She could be a powerful tool in 2010.
