North Korean Missile Path Could Lead to Hawaii

Over at Closing Velocity they've done a little work on the announced trajectory of the missile that North Korea plans to launch next month:
Connecting the dots between the launch site (orange triangle) and the two danger zones where the two stages will splash (red triangles), we can see where the missle could head --- again, according to the North Koreans themselves:

- They indeed plan to overfly Japan, shedding the first booster in the Sea of Japan.

- Depending on the range of the missile, the trajectory is making a bee-line for Hawaii.

Stay tuned.

There's more info at the link. Could North Korea actually be planning Pearl Harbor II?

The Japanese are threatening to shoot the thing down rather than let it fly over their country. I don't know if they have the technology to do that, but that would certainly ratchet up the tensions in that part of the world.
