Sotomayor Would Be The Second Hispanic on the Supreme Court

The media is slobbering all over the idea that Sonia Sotomayor will be the first Hispanic on the Supreme Court. Not so. Benjamin Cardoza served on the court in the 1930's and was a Portuguese Jew. There's a combination that would certainly get him confirmed today...if he was a Democrat...and a woman...and a liberal...and maybe gay.
