"It's Not About Me"

That seems to be a common refrain these days:
Black Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. says he's ready to move on from his arrest by a white police officer, hoping to use the encounter to improve fairness in the criminal justice system and saying "in the end, this is not about me at all."
We just heard Obama say the same thing about health care just the other day.

And in both case, it IS about them.

I think both of these guys are now running scared. If the tapes of this event are released it may prove most embarassing for them and put the police in a better position.

It's about him, baby. It's so totally about him. (They did this on Seinfeld, too. "It's ALWAYS about me." (George Costanza)

Professor Gates gets the Jerimiah Wright Award for "most embarrassing friendship."
