U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday ramped up her criticism of insurance companies, accusing them of unethical behavior and working to kill a plan to create a new government-run health plan.Of course they're trying to stop the public option, as are a lot of us. They know that the public option will spell the end of private insurers as employers dump their employees into the plan to reduce costs. You can't blame them for trying to save their industries from a government takeover.
"It's almost immoral what they are doing," Pelosi said to reporters, referring to insurance companies. "Of course they've been immoral all along in how they have treated the people that they insure," she said, adding, "They are the villains. They have been part of the problem in a major way. They are doing everything in their power to stop a public option from happening."

The pressure is getting to Nancy Pelosi. She apparently has gone far enough around the bend that she thinks it's a good strategic move to blast the insurance companies:

The only thing we know for sure is that Obama, Pelosi, Reid and their gang are the most immoral for trying to ram-rod National Health Care down the throats of the American Citizens, and then tacking on the Illegals so they will qualify for free health care at the taxpayers expense. Now this is really something IMMORAL!
