The Humorless DNC

Take a look at this statement from the DNC regarding GOP criticism of Obama's Nobel Peace Prize:
“The Republican Party has thrown in its lot with the terrorists – the Taliban and Hamas this morning – in criticizing the President for receiving the Nobel Peace prize,” DNC communications director Brad Woodhouse told POLITICO. “Republicans cheered when America failed to land the Olympics and now they are criticizing the President of the United States for receiving the Nobel Peace prize – an award he did not seek but that is nonetheless an honor in which every American can take great pride – unless of course you are the Republican Party.
To my knowledge that's the first time the Democrats have ever identified Hamas as a terrorist organization. The GOP always brings out the best in them.

The problem is with the facts, not Republicans. Obama was nominated during his 2nd, 3rd week, in office? Calling it "an award he did not seek but that is nonetheless an honor in which every American can take great pride," is glossing over much.

Proud that our president just got the ultimate in affirmative action? A Nobel prize for being "non-white" (more accurately not noticeably white) and not-George Bush.

I'm not getting the "pride that all Americans can feel" from that. No pride. Anybody feeling the pride, here? Is it just me?

Nope, no pride here either.

They gave Obama the Peace Prize after he went on his world apology tour, telling everyone what bad people we Americans have been.

This award is a slap in the face to Americans.

No pride here either! There are a lot of people out there that are way more deserving!

I don't get the pride thing... but then I didn't get the hope/change thingy either.

I found it rather surreal to hear President Not Bush accept the prize on behalf of America and the World.

Hamas Actually is the New Friend of Enlightened nations, since the Goldstone report, and so very likely to be the darling of the Obama administration very soon.
as for the Taliban, it seems they are not the enemy either, at least not this administration's enemy. Ergo, the Republicans, being lumped with Hamas and Taliban is actually Obama's friend.
