Wizbang has a piece today on this mall in Oklahoma City:
That's the Crossroads Mall, located near the I-35/I-244 junction. The failing mall is now owned by the Federal Reserve Bank thanks to various government bailouts. Maybe they'll set up an Obamacare branch office in there, or perhaps a Chrysler or GM dealership. Might as well get all those federally-owned properties under one roof.
The only reason this story caught my eye was because I've actually shopped there (and apparently not that many people can say that). Crossroads Mall stuck in my mind because as we walked through the building we saw signs pointing to the tornado shelters in the building. You just don't see that in California malls.
It's managed to dodge a lot of tornadoes since it was built in 1975, but couldn't dodge the economy.
