Nobel Prize Quote of the Day

From Peace Prize recipient Barack Obama:
"I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many transformative figures that have been honored by this prize."
That's one of the few things he's said that I agree with wholeheartedly.

Oh, I guess there are several in the category of 'how in the world did they get selected'...think of Jimmy Carter as an example!

Ditto. Except for Jimmy Carter, that is. He has far out-matched Carter.

Indeed, he is Super Carter.

Nominations closed on January 30, 2009. President zero was in office for 12 days, and he was blaming President Bush for everything. What did he do in 12 days to deserve a nomination? Isn't it irronic that on the day he got the Peace prize, His country attacked a harmless and sovereign planet that was no threat to the USA. President zero has been trying to tax everyone and usurp our rights, so was it a 'Peace' prize or a 'Piece' prize?

ummm...you're joking, Andrew, right? First of all, the moon is not a planet. secondly, I don't believe the "bombing" was an act of war. Just goes to show that when you decide to hate, there are no boundaries.

The moon comment was indeed tongue in cheek and not serious. What grinds my grits is that either someone thought President zero really accomplished something in his first 12 days to nominate him on those merits, or the rules were bent for his benefit and allowed to be nominated after the deadline. He was eligible for nomination in the 12 day window so what was accomplished?? I see nothing.

Rick, Andrew -- Big O did attack the moon, following the advice of IMAO at this post -- http://www.imao.us/docs/NukeTheMoon.htm

which he follows up here http://www.imao.us/index.php/2009/10/obama-wins-the-nobel-peace-prize-by-listening-to-me/

in the most Seinfeldian of "coincidences" ever.

I never laughed so hard in my life.

I pity my Dem friends, who are missing out on some of the best comedy ever written (all thanks to their guy, too!).

My, my, my. This just goes to show you how valueless the Peace Prize has become when it is presented to someone of such low character as The Big O.
