Palin As a Third Party Candidate in 2012?

I don't think so, but as Don Surber reports, Glenn Beck is thinking that's where she's headed. I personally think it would pretty much guarantee the re-election of Obama since Palin on a conservative third party ticket would very effectively split the Republican/conservative vote between her and whoever is at the top of the GOP ticket, especially if that GOP nominee is an attractive candidate for conservatives (unlike John McCain).

Palin has made some moves that I thought were not that smart, including leaving the Alaskan governor's job early. People don't think much of quitters. I can't imagine her making a third party her first choice. Chances are she would only explore that option if she couldn't win the GOP nomination, but if she can't win that she's not going to be president.

I'm still not convinced she's ready for the job, but she still has time to work on all of that.

She is certainly more qualified than the bozo we have now. At least she was a governor!
