Pre-Traumatic Stress Disorder

Mark Steyn has identified a new psychological disease - Pre-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Steyn came up with that while hosting Rush Limbaugh's show this morning. The media has been scrambling to ignore the radical islamic rantings of Major Malik Nadal Hasan, who killed 13 and wounded 30 at Fort Hood yesterday. Instead, they're trying to suggest that Hasan suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, an affliction he was supposed to be helping others get over.

However, Hasan has never seen combat. His greatest stresses have been trying to figure out which Arabic man-dress to put on in his off-duty hours. His duty stations have been in Virginia and Texas.

He's the first documented sufferer of Pre-Traumatic Stress Disorder. He flipped because he thought he might see something traumatic.

Yeah, that makes lots of sense.
