He was reported dead in the earlier story but now, after a hospital mix-up, is reported in critical condition with several wounds.
Of course, that means we'll now have to go through a show trial that will be a real spectacle to behold. The left-wing lawyers he's likely to attract will try to put the entire Iraq/Afghanistan war on trial and will do their best to blame Bush, Cheney, the Army, and everything but the nutty religion that drove this guy to go from a sub-par Army officer to radicalized killer who turned on his fellow soldiers.
It's amazing that after being born in the United States and living here his entire life, and after the Army put him through medical school and supposedly developed him as a senior officer, that a radical religious view could trump all those things and make him long for jihad against his nation and his brother servicemen and women.
Another interesting thing to watch will be the nature of the charges that are brought. Of course there will be murder and assault charges of various kinds, but Obama recently signed a new hate crimes law into effect which is supposed to punish people for their thoughts. If I killed a Muslim because I hated his religion they wouldn't hesitate to add hate crimes charges to me. Will they do it to this guy?
Of course not. Muslims hating infidels has not yet become politically incorrect enough to warrant hate crimes consideration. It's just expected.
Maybe it will be a good thing that we'll be able to see the face of terror and hear the voice of the jihadist this time. And after they get him off for temporary insanity he can sell a book on Oprah.

Our tax dollors subsidized this piece of crap. It's a terrible day. Waiting to hear from friends who have soldiers there. May God hold them close to his heart through this most difficult time.
