Newt: I'm a Top Candidate for 2012

Really??
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Wednesday he considers himself among the top Republican prospects for the 2012 presidential election, adding that he believes there will be plenty of GOP options for voters to consider.

"I think I'm probably on a list of seven or eight possible candidates at this stage," Gingrich said. "We have a lot of people around the country who would like to have somebody who represents a commitment to replace the current failed programs and to develop a set of solutions that are practical and workable."
Newt's a brilliant idea man, but he's got way too much baggage to be a serious presidential candidate. The attack ads would almost write themselves.

He'd do us all a favor if he'd just work in the background and help create a current version of the "Contract With America" rather than clutter up the candidate field with an effort he can't possibly win.

You're right--he's wrong.

Gingrich has got to be smoking something funny to think he rates consideration for the 2012 ticket.
There are way too many skeltons in his closet, watch out when the Democrats open the closet door.
