It's that time again, the weekend in January that I head down to Rockport, TX for the Rockport Gospel Music Festival. The Festival is celebrating its 15th anniversary, and this will be the 12th year my group has participated. The photo below was taken in Rockport a couple of years ago.
The reports from previous years can be found here: 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2000, 1999. And, this video was shot on the Rockport stage in 2003.
The warm weather we're used to down there in January will be missing this trip. The forecast high for Friday is 37, and Saturday and Sunday are only a few degrees warmer. We usually have to worry about getting the air conditioning going in the auditorium once all 1200 people get in there, but not this year.
Because the schedule Fri-Mon is chock full of travel and commitments, HolyCoast.com will be on semi-hiatus until I get back. The laptop's staying home. I'll try to post a few items via cellphone (I got that fixed), but the political stuff will have to wait. I'll also be putting the comment moderation back on while I'm gone since the spammers are quite active lately. If I get a chance to get on a computer at the hotel I'll try to clear those comments for you as quickly as I can.
Check back periodically for updates, otherwise I'll resume regular blogging on Monday night.
