So, What Happens Next?

It's clear the non-violent Tea Party protests, as vigorous as they were, did not get the message through to Democrats that America doesn't want socialized medicine. We're clearly going to have to, in the words of chef Emeril Legasse, "kick it up a notch". Congress is headed home for the two week Easter break and I hope every Democrat who voted for Obamacare gets a reception that makes last summer's Tea Party rallies and town hall meetings look like Sunday School picnics.

I want every Dem congressmen to feel the wrath of the voters they betrayed in such a manner they can't possibly confuse the message this time. I want them met wherever they go - be it home, office, restaurants...wherever...by angry citizens looking for their scalp. I want them looking over their shoulders 24/7 wondering where the next shout of outrage is going to come from. I want them panicked at the thought of facing the voters in November, panicked enough that a host of them will choose to retire.

I want to see the Democrat party humiliated in November in numbers that will ensure the election of 2010 will go to the top of every list of political disasters historians will compile for the next 100 years. I want Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer, Barney Frank, and the whole host of Dem leadership and rank-and-file brutalized at the polls. I want to see Nancy Pelosi's belongings thrown from the Speaker's office to the sidewalk outside where her little minions can scurry to pick them up. I want these people politically dead. They have betrayed their country. I want their remaining days in office to be pure misery.

And what about their allies in the mainstream press? The press did its duty by ignoring the contents and real cost of Obamacare and they have failed in their constitutionally-protected duty to the people of this country. I fully expect that now that the bill has passed we'll suddenly see breathless reports about what is really in the bill and what it will really cost in a futile attempt to regain the trust they squandered...at least until the Democrats need them again in the Fall. We should do our part to ignore them and their advertisers the way they ignored their duty to report the truth.

And that's just for starters.
