Celia

Hurricane Celia is rampaging through the Eastern Pacific as a Category 5 storm this morning, and has tied the record for the strongest June storm in history in this part of the world.  It probably won't effect any land masses except for sending some waves toward California.
When I heard they'd named that storm Celia it brought back a lot of memories.  Forty years ago this summer another Hurricane Celia struck Corpus Christi, TX, and I had a front row seat for that storm.  I was there on vacation with my Oklahoma cousins and we rode the storm out in a bayside motel.  My story of that event can be found here.
