The [al-Mustaqbal] newspaper said that “as part of the open conflict between Turkey and Israel following the massacre against the ‘freedom sail’ to Gaza and the protest sparked in the world, Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan is considering going to Gaza himself in order to break the blockade imposed on the Strip.”This could have two possible repercussions (though there may be others):
The sources noted that the Turkish leader had raised the option in a conversation with his associates.
According to the report, Erdogan told the American administration he was planning to ask his navy to escort another aid flotilla, but that American officials asked him to delay the plan in order to look into the matter.
- It starts an actual shooting war in the Mediterranean in which Turkey finds much of it's fleet resting on the bottom, a war which could quickly escalate and involve other nations in the area.
- The military in Turkey is still run by secular professionals who, at least at this point, don't share the penchant for craziness shown by the civilian prime minister. Being ordered into a shooting war they're likely to lose and lose badly could cause the military to decide it's time for the grownups to take over and the radical Islamists will find themselves out on their burkhas and military rule could be the next Turkish government.
Either way, there's turmoil ahead for that part of the world.

Sounds like it's time for the Turkish Prime Minister to be committed.
