Your going to sense a theme in this post. With the 41st anniversary of the first moon landing coming up next month I've found myself in a mood to read about the manned space program during the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo years. I recently finished Michael Collins' book Carrying the Fire, and currently have two different books going - Moondust, which is a follow-up on what happened to the men who went to the moon in the years since the Apollo missions, and The Last Man on the Moon, Gene Cernan's book about his astronaut exploits. I've got two more books waiting in the wings (no pun intended): Failure is Not an Option by former Mission Controller Gene Kranz, and A Man on the Moon by Andrew Chaikin. They've all been very interesting, and since most of them have been out for quite some time, you can pick them up pretty cheap on Amazon. Here are the links in case you're interested.
