Racism Quote of the Day

From a commenter at the CBS story about the racist USDA official whose video at an NAACP event led to her "resignation" yesterday:
“The difference between the tea party and the naacp is if you are looking for racists at the tea party you look at the fringe and if you are looking for racists at the naacp you look to the stage.”
Very true.

UPDATE:  Bonus quote h/t Instapundit:
“Look at the crowd reaction when she says this. Is there shock? Is there disgust? Is there anger? Nope, they are with her all the way. That says more about the NAACP than anything Sherrod did.” Hey, it’s not called the “National Association for the Advancement of Racial Equality,” you know.

Sherrod said she and the white farmer she referred to in the video, Roger Spooner, became friends. Spooner's wife, Eloise, confirmed to CNN that she and her husband considered Sherrod a friend.

"She helped us save our farm by getting in there and doing everything she could do," Eloise Spooner said. "They haven't treated her right."

Sherrod said she told the story to make the point that at the time she thought white farmers had advantages because of their race but she learned that was not the case.

"The point was to get them to understand that we need to look beyond race," Sherrod said.

I guess the farmer and his wife are self hating whites.
