Disneyland officials have reached an agreement with a Muslim college intern allowing her to wear a head covering while on the job, Muslim community leaders and Disney officials said Monday.Back when I worked there (not long after the Earth cooled) Disney didn't seem too concerned with my needs. They seemed far more concerned with making sure I had my hair cut military short and I wore the uniform exactly as they assigned it.
Officials with the Council on American-Islamic Relations say the scarf acts as an Islamic head covering, called a hijab, in accordance with her Muslim religion.
Disney officials don’t call it a hijab — just a head scarf to accommodate an employees needs.
And in case they hire a member of the religion of peace to serve as a costumed character, some plans are being made to accommodate their needs:
