ATTN: Rich Republicans Thinking About Political Office - Send Me Your Money Instead

I guarantee you I'll spend it better than Meg Whitman or Carly Fiorina did.

I'm actually kind of mystified why a person with billions (Whitman) or many, many millions (Fiorina) would want to run for political office?  When you have the resources that could enable you to do pretty much anything you want to do, why would you want to do that?  Especially when the result is so much out of your control?

If I was blessed with even a fraction of their money you'd probably never hear from me again.  I'd be out traveling, playing with my toys, enjoying life on the grandest scale I could afford.  You'd never catch me on the rubber chicken circuit trying to schmooze people into voting for me.  What a waste of hundreds of millions of dollars and months of their lives.

So, if you're a rich Republican (or Democrat, for that matter) who is thinking about trying to buy your way into high political office, do yourself...and me...a favor:  Hit the "DONATE" button in the right sidebar and give me half the money you plan to spend on the election.  Take the other half and go enjoy life and remind yourself that with that much money you don't have to put up with all the crap you'll take in a political race.

And I'll write your name in on the ballot.
