Black Friday Begins

Even though it's not Friday yet for many retailers Black Friday has begun.  Both my kids are in retail - one working for Big Toys and the other for Big Clothes (I'm withholding the retailer's names).  My daughter worked at Big Clothes from 9 am-1:30 pm today (at time-and-a-half for holiday pay) and will to back to work a midnight to 9am shift on Black Friday.  I believe her store opens at midnight after being closed for a few hours on Thanksgiving Day, and last year they apparently had a huge line waiting to get in when they opened.

My son's Black Friday adventure at Big Toys will begin a 9:30 pm tonight and run until 6 in the morning.  The store will open at 10 pm and they expect crowds of people to be waiting outside.  I'm tempted to run over there and see what it looks like at 10.  There's a Best Buy in that same shopping center and they always have people camped out before Black Friday.
