Show Me the Photo of the Muslim in the Nakie Scanner or Getting a Pat-Down From an Infidel

I listened to several hours of talk radio as I was driving south today and the subject on everybody's mind is the new TSA pat-down versus nakie scanner controversy.  It pretty much filled all the broadcasting today, from the morning people in San Francisco and Sacramento, to Rush Limbaugh who I followed across several stations in the Central Valley, to Bill Carroll in Los Angeles.  Most are pretty much opposed to the new more intrusive procedures, though Carroll seems to think they'll make us safer.  I doubt it.  So far everything the TSA has done has been a reaction to an act that's already taken place.

I spent a lot of time thinking about this whole thing.  Normally you can look at an issue and pretty quickly figure out on which side the conservatives and which side the liberals will come down, but the TSA issue flips things on its head.  Suddenly the law-and-order pro-war on terror conservatives are saying "don't touch my junk" while the liberal civil libertarians who will fight to the death for your right to put a crucifix in urine and call it art are submitting to governmental authority like meek little lambs.  It's bizarro world.

I think I figured out what's going on.  For conservatives who still believe the Constitution means what it says, it's pretty easy.  The Fourth Amendment is supposed to protect us from unreasonable searches and seizures, and we're supposed to be presumed innocent until proven guilty.  The new TSA rules do just the opposite - they assume we're all terrorists until we prove to them we're not.  As as far as our rights go, the TSA has decided we lost them the minute we bought a plane ticket.

For the libs the new TSA procedures are a lefty wet dream - a government with absolute authority over its citizens making them dance to the Fondling Fed's tune and granting only those rights it sees fit.  You travel only if approved by the government and only after showing your papers and proving you're unarmed.  These new rules also play right in to the left's twisted version of fairness where all citizens are treated equally badly.

Of course, not all citizens will get the full rubber glove treatment.  Our politicians won't.  People who can afford their own flying machines won't.  And I predict a certain religious subsegment of our population won't find themselves singled out for a "special" inspection either.  Has anyone seen a photo or video of a person in Muslim garb going through the nakie scanner or a full under-robe pat-down?  The only Muslim I've seen was a female TSA agent in Muslim headgear frisking a nun.

I want to see the photo that proves the TSA is taking terrorism seriously.  Show me the photo of the Muslim in the nakie scanner or getting a pat-down from an infidel.
