Suicide Bomber in Moscow

We do all kinds of things to try and keep bombs out of airplanes, but anybody can walk into an airport baggage area where dozens or hundreds of people are standing together:

At least 31 people were killed and more than 100 injured on Monday in a suicide bombing at Russia's biggest airport, Russian news agencies reported.

Russia's ruble-dominated stock market MICEX fell by nearly two percent following the blast, which ripped through the baggage claim area at Moscow's Domodedovo airport at 1332 GMT.

Smoke wafted out of the baggage claim area and people were seen running out of the emergency exits at the airport, local media reported.

It is believed to be yet another attack by a Muslim insurgency that has staged other attacks on Russian transit systems.

With all the emphasis on passenger security at airports, we don't stop terrorism, we simply force the terrorists to change their targets and there are lots of softer targets with little or no security.
