The four Americans aboard a yacht hijacked by pirates off the coast of Somalia are dead.Information from the area is still incomplete, but if the Navy didn't sink that ship and kill every pirate on board, somebody's head should roll.
Hijacked last Friday off Oman, the Quest was being piloted toward the Somali coast – and was being shadowed by a U.S. Navy warship.
CBS News national security correspondent David Martin reports that gunshots aboard the yacht were heard, and the warship took action.
All 4 Americans were dead, killed apparently by their captors.
And while it may sound romantic to sail around the world on your yacht, those days are over, at least until the world's naval force can regain control of the waters in that part of the world. For Pete's sake, stay out of there. I know these people were trying to take Bibles to different places around the world, but even mission trips don't have immunity from evil.
If I was president I would make it very clear that the policy of the United States is we don't capture pirates, we kill them. If you attack Americans, an American flag vessel, or any vessel conducting commerce for the United States, you're dead meat. We will do what we can to get our people back, but you will die regardless how it all ends.

Hey, Rick, are you throwing your hat into the ring in 2012?
I totally agree with your thoughts. Kill them all, let the USA become the world power we all can remember her to be! Well, those of a certain age that is!
All 13 of the Somali Pirates should have been put to death also. Their are times to show compassion, and their are times not to. This time compassion should have not been shown. Now we got trials and tax money being spent for legal council for innocence that is not there, the Somali pirates were on board at the time, they all are involved and they all should be put to death to show a message to Somalia we are not going to stand up to Piracy! If Somalia does not stop this, think a few drones should be sent in to send a message!
